samuel james (b.2000) is a multidisciplinary artist creating worlds through visual storytelling. he is known by the creative alias, ihategreeneggs.

samuel grew up in rural northern minnesota and spent countless hours alone in the woods as a child. gifted with an overactive imagination, he took solace in drawing and the arts. at a young age, this imagination also contributed to many fears, and he often was afraid to fall asleep because he would see so many images in his mind.

in his artistic ventures today, samuel’s art is influenced by these concepts from childhood and the combination of fear, wonder and nostalgia that stem from it. through his art, he aims to bridge the gap between the worlds he created as a child, and the reality of his adulthood today.
