ABOUT THE ARTISTMy name is Samuel and I am a multidisciplinary artist known by the creative alias, ihategreeneggs. I specialize in illustration, animation, filmmaking, painting, sculpture, and design.
I grew up in northern Minnesota and spent countless hours alone in the woods as a child. Gifted with an overactive imagination, I took solace in drawing and the arts. At a young age, this imagination also contributed to many fears, and I often was afraid to fall asleep because I would see so many images in my mind.
In my work today, I am influenced by these concepts from childhood and the combination of fear, wonder and nostalgia that stem from it. Through my art, I aim to visually convey the worlds I created as a child, merged with the reality of my adult life today.
